Rapper Lil Wayne cut his performance short at the High Times Medical Cannabis Concentrates Cup Show in California and fans are not happy.

The star, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, was supposed to perform for an hour, but he left the stage after four songs.

A video shared by US entertainment site TMZ shows the rapper saying: “Don’t you ever call me to do this s*** again! Ever.” However, it’s not clear if that declaration referred to the event.

High Times magazine released a statement on Sunday and said Wayne was “contractually committed to performing for an hour” on Saturday night. The statement says the move was “in total disregard for his fans”.

Lil Wayne was billed as the headliner of the three-day event in San Bernardino and he promoted the event on his social media accounts last week.

Various reports suggest he was not happy with the “mellow” crowd, but on Twitter many were not impressed. Others were amused.
