The X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman has hit out at claims the show is fixed.
Fans were left bewildered last week after the random jukebox wheel landed on the Fright Night theme in time for Halloween.
But the show’s official choreographer said it was no more than a “spooky coincidence” in an interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
“It is truly real,” said Brian.
“It would make my life so much easier if I would know what the theme was [in advance]… It keeps me on my toes which I like because we can’t really work ahead and think ‘what are we doing next week?’.
“Yeah it would be nice to know things a little earlier. We’ve got probably from about noon on that Monday to noon on that Tuesday to finish every concept. [We get] no sleep!”
The X Factor returns on Saturday night on ITV.
