COME and find out what happens when a glamorous French actress and her hapless assistant put on a show based on the Hollywood film Gladiator.

Spitz & Co are a French/English female clowning duo based near Bristol and tomorrow they bring Gloriator to the Lyric Theatre in Bridport.

Described by Venue Magazine as ‘a really accomplished female clowning duo who deftly de-construct the muscular male movie hero in an absurdly hilarious way’, this is certainly a show to catch.

The will be followed on stage by Angus Barr, a ukulele-banjo-wielding David to the Goliaths of hypocrisy, greed and injustice.

His politically incorrect comic songs are guaranteed to bring the house down.

Niki McCretton, artistic director at the Lyric, said: “We are thrilled to have this performance at The Lyric.

“It’s very exciting to host new work by such talented performers. This will make for an amazing evening.”

The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £10 in advance from Bridport Arts Centre: 01308 424204 or on the door, if available. Recommended minimum age is 12.
