Midge Ure has become an iconic British figure, shape shifting his way through the UK music scene for 35 years and more. From prototype boy band with Slik, through electronic pioneer with Visage, rock guitarist with Thin Lizzy, chart topper with Ultravox and his solo career, to charity fundraiser with Band Aid.

Following performances throughout his career in some of the biggest and most prestigious venues worldwide, Ure will be performing a one-off acoustic evening at the Marine Theatre on Friday, June 20.

Ure has adapted to the ebb and flow of his career performing with large bands, three-piece power trio’s and his solo acoustic shows with which he sticks to his mantra that a good song can be stripped down to its basics and still stand close inspection.

Midge’s show will reflect as ever his full and successful career, including solo songs such as If I Was, and Ultravox songs from Vienna up to new songs from the brand new Ultravox CD ‘Brilliant’ released in May, 2012.
