SOME freewheelin’ fun is on the cards tomorrow for girls who like to skate.

Skate Girls Productions is inviting girls – and boys – to its Summer Jam 2014.

It includes live music and takes place from noon until 6pm at The Front Skatepark in Weymouth.

There is also an after party from 9pm at Rendezvous.

Spectators can view for free and, for those who want to skate, it costs £5 to take to the ramps all day.

Live music will be coming from local musician Lauren Bannon, London DJ Amy B and Echo Boom Generation, featuring lead guitarist Linda Burrato and bassist Emma Hughes from pop star Kate Nash’s band.

Also performing are Chloe and Tom, Morgan Lily, Ty Xanders and Light Fire Down.

Pro guests will be attending including Stefani Nurding and Holly Bendall.

There will be a chance to try tie-dying, with white T-shirts.

Skaters attending will benefit from tips and advice from more experienced skaters.

All abilities are catered for.

Anyone who is a complete beginner can attend up to a professional level.

Boards are available to hire at the skatepark and there are boards that people can borrow or share. There will be independent brand stalls including Weymouth’s own Bahru, which is a surf-inspired jewellery and apparel and London’s Brah Boys, which is clothing for girls that ride.

There will be a barbecue at the event and the Skatepark Café shop, where food and drink can be purchased.

There will be rustic hay bales and deckchairs so people can relax and enjoy the sun.

All those attending the after party should be at least 18.

The party will feature music from the bands that have already played at the skate park.
