A SERIES of vintage evenings of entertainment will be held at Poole Quay beginning on Thursday, July 24.

Summer Breeze on the Quay 2014 will be held from 7pm when people can revel in vintage music, clothes and memorabilia stalls.

The free family event, sponsored by Tower Park-based motor dealership Breeze Volkswagen, is part of Poole’s Wave 105 Summertime in the South and brings six weeks of live music, street entertainment and fabulous fireworks to Poole Quay every Thursday evening until the end of August.

With acts from Real Vintage including crooner Karl Stokes, there will be 30s and 40s classics from female soloist Memphis Belle, inspired harmonies from duo Scarlet Swing and established 1940s songstresses The Land Girls. In addition, vintage fashion will be on show thanks to South Coast Gems and Looks we Love.

The Thistle end of the Quay will play host to Poole’s Celebration of Cycling and budding performers can brush up on their circus skills at Jamie Jigsaw’s Circus Workshop.

The evening finishes with spectacular fireworks over Poole’s iconic harbour at 10pm.
