A NEW choir is meeting up for the first time in Weymouth tonight.
The Sea Sound Singers will meet at St Nicholas Church Hall in Buxton Road, Weymouth from 7.30pm.
All are welcome to attend and the first session is free.
Songs will be performed in glorious harmony from this country and from around the world and songs old and new will be featured, including traditional, seasonal, folk, pop and jazz styles.
No experience is necessary and there is no need to read music.
Su Lewis, of the Sea Sound Singers, said: “In today’s busy world more and more people are coming to realise that singing together is a great stress buster as well as a social activity. Once you’ve tried it, it’s hard to stop.”
After the first session the choir will cost £5 a week.
