Just one day remains before theatre company NIE (New International Encounter) arrives to perform the Museum of Memories at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.

The audience for this portable theatre, constructed inside the auditorium, will be sat inside the 70 square metre intimate venue and given the chance to experience something new with the action close up. After the performance, audience members are free to explore the space – open drawers, look at pictures and objects and discover memories.

Originating from the Czech Republic but with a truly continental reach, New International Encounter bring their renowned performance in an exploration of life, death, memory, and the way that one life can impact others through the generations.

The five actor/musicians tell the story of someone they have lost with much warmth, music, and humour.

Museum of Memories opened on the April 27, 2012 on Tulinløkka, between The National Museum and The National Gallery in the heart of Oslo.

The show is now touring both in Norway and internationally, and is supported by The Norwegian Arts Council, Spenn, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Arts Council England. The running time is approximately one hour with three shows during the day, running at 2pm, 5pm, and 7pm. Tickets are priced at £10 full and £8 concessions. LYT members can enter for £1 while free entry is given to Lyme Regis Passport holders.
