A RURAL idyll disturbed by a noisy squirrel is the subject matter of a family friendly play coming to Bridport.

The Country Owl and the City Squirrel is at Bridport Arts Centre at 11am today.

It tells the story of Tony the Owl, who lives in the countryside.

He’s really happy in his little garden until Joe and Charlotte turn up and ruin his peace and quiet.

Featuring puppetry, original music, and a squirrel flying machine, this is a story about making friends and being different. It is inspired by the Tale of the Town Mouse and the Country Mouse and is suitable for anyone aged three and over.

The family performance will be presented by Tom Frankland and Laura Mugridge at Bridport Arts Centre.

The performance will be 50 minutes long.
