THERE is no more resistance – it’s December and Christmas has been thrust upon us.

  • TWO days of festive fun are in store as Weymouth welcomes Christmas.

The Victorian Shownight takes place in the town centre today from 3pm to 9pm and tomorrow from 10.30am to 3pm.

  • LOOK out for speedy puddings in Lyme Regis tomorrow.

The Lyme Regis Great Christmas Pudding Race starts at Marine Parade at noon.

Money will be raised for Cancer Research UK.

There will be a variety of craft stalls, a raffle, homemade cakes, jams, chutneys, sweets, pictures, paintings, local books, handmade and machine knitted jumpers, scarves, Christmas flowers and wreaths.

Nigel Williams, leisure centre manager, said: “All proceeds will go to community projects in the area and at the centre.”
