SPOT some local faces and Bridport scenes in a new mural.

Artist Nicole Burt has unveiled a mural in Bridport Arts Centre which will be on display until May 9.

The artwork that details Bridport’s relationship with its arts centre.

Bridport-based Nicole is a illustrator, artist, wall muralist and professional doodler.

She’s inspired by people, relationships and her surroundings, creating quirky tongue in cheek, designs in a variety of different styles.

Exhibitions Assistant, Megan Dunford who commissioned the work said: “I asked Nicole to make a site specific piece for the Art Centre foyer.

"I discovered her work on Facebook and found the mix of figure drawing and graffiti like style really interesting.

Nicole has competed in the world-renowned art battle Secret Walls; appeared as a performance muralist and is a regular performer at Glastonbury festival.

She also runs the popular children’s art class Little Inkers in The Chapel in the Garden.

Nicole said: “I have been a Bridport resident for the past 20 years.

"I'm drawn to the place, it has a uniqueness to it that no other place I've lived can replicate.

"So I wanted to recreate in my mural the buzz of Bridport, especially in the summer where people of all ages spill out from the BAC onto the streets and Bucky Doo Square in a fiesta of dance, music, and laughter."
