ONE of the finest restoration comedies, The Beaux' Stratagem, will entertain a West Dorset audience.
This Bristol Old Vic Theatre's production is at Bridport Arts Centre on Tuesday May 26 at 7.30pm.
Come and discover the stars of tomorrow when the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School the show, described as an 18th century equivalent of One Man Two Governors, to Bridport.
The Beaux' Stratagem has entertained and amused generations with its fast moving and breathtaking comedy involving rakes, lovers, desperate housewives, herbal healers and horse thieves!
The play sees Archer and Aimwell, two young gentlemen who have fallen on hard times, planning to travel through small towns in order to entrap young heiresses steal their money and move on.
But the two beaux aren’t the only ones with larcenous designs – nor do they realise that their own hearts might be susceptible to ensnarement.
