A POPULAR music festival will return to west Dorset this weekend with a bumper line-up.

The second Jurassic Fields Music Festival will take place on Saturday - with organisers confident it will be bigger and better than last year's event.

Ska band Orange Street and Dorset locals The Gravity Drive headline the two music stages, while James Redmond and Adam Kay will top the bill in the comedy tent.

The event takes place at Asker Meadows - with music taking place from 10am until 11pm.

With record ticket sales, fair weather forecast for the day, and an outstanding line-up of performers, the organisers are anticipating a great day for all the family.

Headliners Orange Street formed in 1996 by brothers Lee and Ryan Fletcher along with some school friends.

After years of doing the 'pub scene' they started to play festivals up and down the country from 2004. Orange Street have supported Madness at Guilfest and have been joined on stage by various members of The Specials. One of their original songs, Rough, has previously gone to number one in the Ska charts.

Netherbury band The Gravity Drive will be headlining the event's second stage. They are a husband and wife harmony driven alternative pop duo.The Gravity Drive self-finance, promote and release their music on their own label - working from their cottage near Bridport.

The couple have received support and frequent radio plays from Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing. They have just released their debut album, Testament, which has received positive reviews and performed at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Comedy headliner Adam Kay is known for singing smutty songs at a piano. He has also sold out seven Edinburgh Festival shows and three nationwide tours. Adam has had over 10 million hits on YouTube, including his viral London Underground song and has had four number one albums in the iTunes comedy charts. He won the 2014 London Cabaret Award, written numerous television shows, performed on the Radio 4 Now Show, and even played at Prince Harry’s 30th birthday party.

Festival favourites Shelby’s Elbows and The Leggomen will be returning to the festival.
