A GUITAR signed by renowned musicians will be up for grabs at this year's Lyme Folk Weekend.

A black jumbo Ibanez acoustic guitar has been signed by more than a dozen acts who will appear at this year's event - and will be raffled off to one lucky winner.

The guitar has been autographed by this year's headliners Turin Brakes, along with Kathryn Roberts, Sean Lakeman, Jim Causley - as well as the legendary Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick, Jon Boden and John Spiers.

Raffle tickets will be available to buy during the festival, with the final draw being made on the Sunday evening at the Marine Theatre.

Festival publicist Julie Sheppard, said: "This is a really unique prize.

"It's an absolutely beautiful guitar in its own right - but signed by such established artists, it's something you'd want to treasure.

"Having personally collected all those signatures, I can guarantee there isn't another guitar like it anywhere and I'm already envious of the lucky winner.

"The proceeds will make a welcome contribution towards staging next year's festival."

This year’s Lyme Folk Weekend, now in its third summer, will be bigger and better, according to organisers.

A full programme of singing, dancing and music–making will take place at the Marine Theatre and other venues around the town from Friday, August 21 until Sunday, August 23. For more information, please visit lymefolk.com
