THE NATIONAL Trust will be launching two cruises to give people the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Jurassic Coast.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Neptune Coastline Campaign, the National Trust's Coast 2015 celebrations will be combined with west Dorset's Jurassic heritage.

Following the success of the National Trust's latest trip, two more trips have been organised from Lyme Regis.

The highlight of the trips will be the dramatic coastline which will be enhanced by a detailed commentary from geologist Richard Edmonds who will share his deep knowledge of the Jurassic Coast.

The trips will take place on Wednesday, September 9. There will be a choice of two trips. At 11am, a cruise will go east towards West Bay, while a trip leaving a 2pm will go west towards Beer Head.

Both trips will leave from the Cobb and will last approximately two and a half hours.
