It's the final bank holiday weekend of the year so make the most of it.

There's a host of things to do across the long weekend - enjoy the last gasp of summer!

*TONIGHT, let yourself be whisked away on a Shakespearean adventure with an outdoor performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream in the grounds of Athelhampton House near Dorchester.

Chapterhouse Open Air Theatre Company will be entertaining the audience with beautifully designed Elizabethan costumes, a wonderful new musical score and enchanting woodland puppet creatures.

*THIRSTS can be quenched with a Beer and Cider Festival at the Greyhound, Corfe Castle. It features live music all weekend.

Camping Be Cider Seaside is at Bredy Farm, near Bridport, from today until August 31.

It is billed as a long weekend of simple camping, quality cider and happy vibes at an austerity-bustin' price. Music on Saturday night will come from Skimmity Hitchers.

*FIND out more about what is hoped to be the world's greatest prehistoric attraction by visiting the pop-up Jurassica exhibition at Osprey Lesiure Centre on Portland.

It will be held tomorrow, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm.

There will be incredible fossils, hands-on activities and a chance to meet monsters from the deep.

Today, talks about the project are being held at the Drill Hall Gallery, Easton Lane, Portland, at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm.

Professor Mike Benton will lead the 4pm talk Jurassic World – what we know and what we think we know, where he will explore how palaeontologists bring the ancient beasts back to life.

Tonight is the last chance to catch the Open Air Cinema at Pennsylvania Castle, Portland.

Pack a picnic and don't forget your flares for sing-along classic Mamma Mia. Doors open at 6.30pm and the film starts at 8pm.

*OUTDOOR festival Anonymous is at Maumbury Rings, Dorchester tomorrow from noon until 7pm.

It features young bands and musicians from across the region.

On Sunday, the Dorchester Love Parade will be bringing its peaceful vibe to Maumbury Rings from 12.30pm to 8pm.

There will be a parade to the rings from the town with some familiar 'divas' expected to strut their stuff.

On Monday, enjoy the town council's concert at Maumbury Rings from 1.30pm to 10pm.

This year's line-up features the Andy Grant Trio, Boy Le Monti and The Leggomen.

*MARVEL at the sight of 5,000 candles illuminating the historic Cobb Harbour

CANDLES on the Cobb is a dramatic and spectacular event illuminating the historic Cobb Harbour on Sunday.
