MORE top class talent comes to Bridport Arts Centre tomorrow (2) with the latest Comedy Cafe night.

Headlining the October show is the surreal comedian, and former Teletubby, Dave Thompson.

Known for his killer one-liners and absurd persona, Dave Thompson's comic brilliance has earnt him television and film roles for Ben Elton and a regular writing spot on popular ITV show, Harry Hill’s TV Burp.

His unique style inspired Ben Elton to write a part especially for him in the film, Maybe Baby

Despite all his success Dave is perhaps best known as the man inside the Tinky Winky costume in ‘Teletubbies’.

Dave's first book called The Sex Life of a Comedian has received positive feedback from critics, while he is currently writing his second novel.

He wrote for both series of ITV programme, The Sketch Show - which was re-made for the Fox Network in the United States. Dave has also contributed writing for the Boothby Graffoe's series for BBC Radio Four.

Opening the show will be Bristol based sketch and character comic Becky Brunning, one of the alternative scenes fastest rising stars.

Resident MC Tom Glover will be hosting the night's proceedings, testing out his latest new material on his hometown crowd and sharing his stories of life in the westcountry. Once again there will be a couple of brand new acts making their first steps into the world of comedy.

The Comedy Cafe will take place at Bridport Arts Centre at 8pm on Friday (2). For more information, please call 01308 424204.
