MR Toad will be shattering the peace when Kenneth Grahame's magical characters come to the county town.

Dorchester Drama presents its autumn production of Toad of Toad Hall at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester from November 19 to 21 at 7pm, with a matinée on November 21 at 2pm.

The cast have been rehearsing hard since September, digging deep to find their animal selves to convey the characters of A A Milne's stage adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's book The Wind in the Willows.

There will be singing and dancing, along with clever lighting effects and a cast of more than 20, to bring this popular story to life.

Adults and children act side by side in a show last performed by Dorchester Drama in 1982, just one of their rich repertoire performed locally over a period of more than fifty years.

Tickets are available from Trinity Street Stores in Trinity Street, Dorchester, or by calling 01305 265758.

They cost £10 for adults on the door or £9 in advance or £6 for under 18s.
