AN AWARD-WINNING interpretation on a classic novel will be performed at Bridport Arts Centre tomorrow night (13).

Little Solider Theatre will present their hilarious take on Cervantes' novel, Don Quixote.

The production tells the story of two feisty senoritas and a downtrodden Englishman as they embark on a journey through Spain

The trio are accompanied only by an otherworldly guitarist, whose presence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

The show received five star reviews during its run at the Edinburgh Festival and won the Stage Award for Acting Excellence in 2014. It is a hilariously inventive and madcap rendition which leads many audiences with the sentiment: “These guys didn't read the book”!

Little Soldier presents a hilariously inventive adventure of immense proportions, to be taken with a pinch of salt and a handlebar moustache.

The show is produced in association with Jacksons Lane and supported by Arts Council England and the Spanish Embassy in the UK.

Little Soldier encourage crosscultural artistic collaborations. The company uses physical comedy, devising techniques and live music to produce funny yet touching shows.

The company is led by award winning actresses Patricia Rodríguez and Mercè Ribot. Exploiting its Spanish backgrounds and English setting, it creates individual takes on new writing and classic texts.

Little Soldier has been mentored by Spymonkey since 2012 and is now working with associate producer Bridget Floyer. Past collaborators include Greenwich Theatre or The Blue Elephant Theatre. We are currently supported by Jacksons Lane.

Don Quixote will be performed at 8pm. For more information, please call 01308 424204.
