AUDIENCES in Dorset will have a one night only chance to see Motionhouse’s latest awe-inspiring show Broken on Thursday 10 March at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts.

Broken erupts onto the stage in an adrenaline filled multi-media spectacle.

This exhilarating show has something for everyone. .

It examines our precarious relationship with the earth. Hanging in suspense and scrambling to safety, the dancers negotiate the cracks and craters of this world of illusions where nothing is quite as it seems.

Fast-paced, gripping, moving and exhilarating, Broken takes audiences on a journey into the earth as they have never seen it before … contrasting the caves of our ancient ancestors with modern apartments, Broken juxtaposes a mythical underworld where hopes and fears are amplified with a visceral overworld of light and speed.

Broken was created by Motionhouse’s artistic director Kevin Finnan MBE, choreographer and movement director for the London 2012 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony.

Finnan said: “Motionhouse prides itself on producing shows of outstanding quality that are exciting, accessible and enjoyable for all. We’ve been delighted with the amazing response Broken has received from both critics and audiences alike.”

The narrative element of Broken makes the show highly accessible and is ideal for families and school groups. It is a must-see for dance and theatre students, but also for pupils interested in art, digital imagery, motion graphics, graphic design and physical education.
