A RIB-achingly roaring stand-up show by one of Scotland’s most beloved comedians will be delighting an audience in Bridport next week.

The star of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and The Unbelievable Truth Fred MacAulay will be entertaining everyone in his Twenty Fifteen show on April 29.

In his first tour since 2012, Fred looks at his family life at home and how his beloved country is shaping up after the referendum of 2014.

As well as looking backwards and forwards, he’ll be looking sideways at politics, sport, the environment and even touching on the celebrity section of society.

2015 was a hugely significant year for the long-running BBC Scotland presenter who signed off his very popular show after 18 years.

Back on the road again after presenting the very funny and eventful MacAulay and Co., Fred’s on air witticisms and on screen reputation are the product of years of experience on the live circuit, including a stint as the first ever-Scottish compere at the Comedy Store in London.

Described as wry and witty, he is a regular favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Fred has a string of TV and Radio appearances under his sporran - from Mock the Week, QI and Have I Got News For You.

With such great experience under his belt organisers have guaranteed a night of first rate entertainment from the comedian.

n Fred Macaulay, Twenty Fifteen is performing at Bridport Arts Centre on April 29 at 8pm. Tickets cost £12 and are available from the box office on 01308 424204. For more information visit bridport-arts.com
