SIXTIES legends The Searchers will bring a touch of musical nostalgia to Bridport on August 6.

The band is one of the few British pop groups that has maintained its position at the top for well over 45 years.

With more than 50 million record sales, The Searchers still have great appeal to audiences of all ages today, and promise an electric performance at Bridport Electric Palace.

The band tours the globe as much today as they have done throughout a career spanning five decades.

Second only to the Beatles as Liverpool’s finest 60s group, the band’s hits include a remake of the Drifters’ 1961 hit, Sweets for My Sweet, remakes of Jackie DeShannon’s Needles and Pins and When You Walk In The Room, an original song written for them.

The band is made up of original member and founder John McNally as lead guitar and vocals, bass guitarist and vocals Frank Allen, front man and guitar synth Spencer James and Scott Ottaway on drums and vocals.

The band’s show has been enthusiastically and warmly received throughout the world.

Combined with anecdotes, this fully self-contained concert includes all their famous hits, plus many album recordings and b-sides.
