FIDDLEFORD MANOR,
STURMINSTER NEWTON, DORSET
VIEW the main parts of a small, stone manor house at this English Heritage site.
This medieval manor house was completed in about 1370 and has undergone many changes since. The splendid timber roofs over the great hall and solar are said to be the most spectacular in Dorset.
The house is believed to have been built for William Latimer, sheriff of Somerset and Dorset.
Fiddleford Manor is open daily from 10am to 6pm. There is a large, free car park nearby.
