ECHOING the sounds of a stunning artist who was the first solo woman to top the UK charts, an uncanny tribute act to the sensational Kate Bush is coming to Bridport.

Cloudbusting will bring the music of Kate Bush to her fans at Bridport Arts Centre on Saturday, September 24.

The two hour concert showcases the Hounds of Love album against a dazzling selection of hits such as Wuthering Heights and This Woman’s Work.

Mandy Watson is the voice of Kate Bush. She encompasses Kate’s range with uncanny yet effortless accuracy and explores the emotional core of the songs.

Kate Bush’s own drummer from 1979’s Tour Of Life, Preston Heyman, commented after sharing the stage with her. He said: “Mandy’s vocals were so good, I could have been listening to Kate herself.”

Kate’s long time musical collaborator and bassist Del Palmer commented that the band’s versions of the songs were “the closest by far” that he’d ever heard.

Such is Cloudbusting’s standing in the Kate Bush community that they have been invited back for the fourth time to headline the international Homeground Kate Bush Convention.

The five-piece band’s authentic musical arrangements are complemented by eye-popping 3D-mapped projections and a backdrop of original videography created and contributed by Kate-inspired artists from across the world.

Hounds of Love performed by Cloudbusting is an intensely emotional journey through the hits such as Running Up That Hill and Cloudbusting, culminating in the crescendo of the album’s famous flip-side, The Ninth Wave.

The music of Kate Bush is as popular and relevant today as it ever was. It’s rare to find a current artist who doesn’t cite Kate as a major musical influence.

In 2014 she secured a place in musical history with eight simultaneous entries in the UK Albums Chart and a 22 date residency in Hammersmith which sold out in minutes, so don’t miss this chance to experience her music live, performed by Cloudbusting.
