TEXAS born and London based, Rodney Branigan will play Marnhull Folk Sessions at Marnhull Village Hall in north Dorset on Sunday.

Rodney is a singer songwriter with a virtuoso’s command of his instruments - he plays two guitars at once - and a stage show that frankly has to be seen to be believed.

Having learned to play in Austin, perform in LA, craft songs in Nashville and put it all together in London, he masterfully combines multi-instrumental skills with heartfelt lyrics and a rich soulful voice.

*The village is also gearing up for the North Dorset Folk Festival on October 22.

With just 90 tickets available it looks set to be the fourth sell out in a row as this tiny event grows in reputation by the year.

The one day festival will be headlined by Martin Simpson. He’ll be joined by BBC Radio 2 playlisted Blair Dunlop and his band, Radio 2 Horizon Folk Award winner Megan Henwood as well as Kit Hawes and Aaron Catlow, Emily Maguire, ODi, Aussie singer songwriter Jack Carty and Tom Clemants.
