LIFE is a cabaret ...and then some when Charlie Bicknell puts on a show.

This unique cabaret show is packed with anarchy, wit and comic ingenuity. Songs range from Tim Minchin to Meatloaf, Jacques Brel to Bond, Dresden Dolls to darkly humorous originals including acrobatic antics.

*HUSBAND and wife duo Megson will be bringing their unique brand of folk music to Dorchester Corn Exchange tomorrow (21) evening from 8pm.

Debs Hanna (Vocals, Whistle, Piano Accordion) and Stu Hanna (Guitar, Mandola, Banjo) Megson have gained fame on the British folk scene, not only for their arresting & intelligent songwriting, but for their exquisite musicianship and northern humour.

*CLASSICAL music will become wickedly funny in Portesham tomorrow evening.

Graffiti Classics, at Portesham Village Hall, consists of 16 strings, eight dancing feet and four voices. This lot wish to burst the elitist boundaries of the traditional string quartet with its hilarious all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy show.

*TAKE part in a monthly bird walk at Durlston Country Park in Swanage on Sunday from 10am. See birds including guillemots, razorbills, red-throated divers and peregrine falcons.

*A WONDERFUL 11 piece ensemble will be performing mesmerising music at Dorchester Corn Exchange on Sunday evening at 8pm.

Lavolta featuring vocalists Kate Westbrook and Sarah Owen, presents a concert of extraordinary 20th century music.

Highlights include William Walton’s Façade 2, which sets Edith Sitwell’s outlandish poetry to bold and mischievous music, and Luciano Berio’s Folk Songs, featuring songs from the United States, Armenia, France, Sardinia and more.
