ONE of the UK’s finest interpreters of song, Barb Jungr, returns to the songs of Bob Dylan with the release of a special 15th anniversary edition of her boundary-breaking album, Every Grain Of Sand.

Barb is also taking this new collection of material on the road, including a date at the Shelley Theatre, Bournemouth on March 31.

Described as “a sensational reimagining of some of Bob Dylan’s best work, expertly infusing elements of jazz, cabaret and chanson into the songs, providing an inimitable take on this widely celebrated repertoire.”

Originally released in 2002, Every Grain Of Sand enchanted critics, fans and newcomers alike, Barb Jungr’s sensitive and heartfelt treatment of such coveted material winning over even the most hardened of Dylan purists.

As Barb explains: “Since recording Every Grain Of Sand for Linn in 2002, if anything, my love for the work of Bob Dylan has simply magnified exponentially.

“His deeply personal understanding of love and life, of ageing and changing and of politics and humanity – and the lack of it – his deep awareness of our souls is a beacon of light on a bleak headland.”
