MARTINSTOWN players are busy rehearsing for their pantomime of Cinderella, to be performed in the village on Saturday March 4.

Cinderella is described as 'a panto with a difference'.

The pantomime was created in three weekends, Fran Taylor said.

She added: "A team of organisers was created. Out of that group, directors and producers were appointed.

"The script of Cinderella, written by Ian Billings, was selected. Now all that was required was a cast, a date was chosen and advertised in our local parish magazine.

"At the designated date and time a steady stream of volunteers arrived and by the end of the afternoon we had a cast and an experienced choreographer.

"The first weekend and rehearsals began. By Sunday afternoon and the end of the session, progress had been made and we had had fun. "Everyone had had a great time."

Cinderella will be performed at Martinstown Village Hall on Saturday March 4 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale now from Ann Matthews on 01305 889248.
