Quality entertainment comes to the area this weekend and there is a fun run with a difference to enjoy.

Get your dancing shoes at the ready, grab yourself a milkshake and relax - you are in for an evening of back to back hits from the 1950s and 60s!

Performed by a full live band, featuring some of the country's top musicians direct from the West End, this incredible show features excellent vocals, tight harmonies and an infectious sense of fun.

Dancing in the aisles is strictly compulsory so bring your dancing shoes and let the good times roll! Call the box office for tickets.

*ONE of the most loved albums of all time, Tapestry by Carole King, will be performed at Weymouth Pavilion tomorrow evening (23) by Australian musician Nicki Dee.

In this full celebration of one of the world's most famous and best-selling records of all time, this flawless singer delivers memories with grace and perfect pitch.

Within the show, audiences are also treated to the pop song writing brilliance of Jerry Goffin and Carole King in Songs Carole King Gave Away. See live performances of classic pop songs such as The Loco-motion, Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Chains and many others all written by Carole King. *TAKE part in a beach clean and keep Worbarrow Bay looking good on Sunday between 1pm and 3pm. There is a suggested donation of £2 for parking. Meet at the beach end of the footpath

*LOOK out for brightly coloured runners who are tackling a 5km course round Lodmoor Country Park, in Weymouth on Sunday between 4pm and 11pm.

The Dorset Neon Run is a 5km neon night run open to anyone over the age of 12 in Lodmoor Country Park with the aim of raising money for Dorset-based charity Diverse Abilities.

Join up to 1,000 other neon runners and run, walk or skip the 5k route whilst lit up in neon face paint, glow sticks, glow bracelets and fluorescent tutus – whatever takes your fancy – before returning to show off your bling under UV lights and shake your thing to music at the end.

Due to safety reasons, all participants must bring a headtorch, otherwise you will not be able to take part.
