A popular folk band will be playing an extra gig on Sunday following up a sell-out Saturday night gig.

The Watkins and Swarbrick band will perform at the Mission Hall, Sutton Poyntz, on Sunday.

The acoustic band is asking people to pay for what they think the gig is worth.

Known for the different routes they take in their music, Ken, Simon, Lucy & Angela will perform songs and tunes inspired by folk and country music, as well as blues and jazz standards; they are a long way from being just a ‘folk’ band! Expect sensitive and extraordinary playing of guitars, violin, ukelele and mandolin, plus some lovely mellow vocals and rich three-part harmonies that have been described as a ‘wonderful blend’. Throw in some lively banter and a smattering of Christmas songs and you can be sure to have a lovely evening.

There is no set ticket price; instead, the audience are asked to pay what they think the performance was worth at the end of the show.
