There's a chance to enjoy some good theatre this weekend or even to try something new. Here's our Guide to the weekend.

*FAMILY theatre comes to Portesham near Weymouth early this evening with The Frog Prince by Forest Forge and Bumblefly Theatre.

*LET the opera come to you tomorrow in Dorchester at 8pm when the Swansea City Opera arrive with A Viennese Whirl.

*SEE the UK's leading Balkan band Paprika perform in rural Dorset this weekend.

*HEAD to the Langham Wine Estate at Crawthorne near Dorchester tomorrow for a pruning masterclass, tasting and two course lunch, all between 10am and 2pm.

Tom, our Vineyard Manager, for the morning and learn the basics of this key process in the grape growing year, vital for the healthy development of your vines, followed by the chance to put your newly learned skills into practice.

Tom will also talk about how to care for your tools and how the theory of pruning can be adapted to other plants in your garden. *A RACE Night is being held at Moreton Village Hall tomorrow (20) from 7pm in aid of Maggie Pennington's fundraising for the Weldmar Nepal Trek for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

Have fun betting on your winning horse. For any money won on a race a proportion is kept by the winner and the remainder for fundraising. Tickets cost £8 and include a ploughman's supper.
