AN ART deco revue featuring song, dance and comedy is coming to Portland next week.

All the razzmatazz and hilarious fun of the roaring 20s is coming to the Royal Manor Theatre in Fortuneswell courtesy of new south coast theatre company The Vintage Theatre Company.

Heyday Revue is an extravaganza of meta musical theatre, where several worlds collide;

The murder mystery farce of Lady Chatter’s world, the world of her alter ego Cher Chez la Femme, the silent movie love story of Harry Hokum and Clarabel, a Honey Hoofer taken by the dastardly villain and of course the revue itself! In the end there is total mayhem!

The revue stars the all new dance troupe the Honey Hoofers, tap tap tapping across the stage, putting on the Ritz, The Charleston and others dances for your pleasure. The dances are created by choreographer Clare Marie Nicholas.

The revue also features brand new sketches Mid -Life Crisis, a slightly naughty classic murder mystery farce and a 'silent movie' sketch, representing classic physical comedy set to music, both sketches written and directed by Luanne Farmer.

The revue also Introduces Cher Chez la Femme and La Garson, with their Mae West style performance.

Plus, experience the dreamy sounds and sights of crooner Charming Chris and his dream-like companion Babette, the beautiful ballet dancer.

The Vintage Theatre Company is a new theatre company seeking to perform classic 20th century style performances, seeking out new material to perform and new talent to showcase and are available to hire for your event, venue, club.
