*STARS are in town for two performances of an Easter panto at Weymouth Pavilion on Saturday.

Beauty and the Beast stars Bobby Davro and Dani Harmer.

It tells the story of Beauty who longs for romance and adventure, a bad-mannered Prince who is transformed into a Beast to teach him a lesson and a good Fairy who makes both their dreams come true.

Performances are at 2pm and 6pm.

*ENJOY a three day feast of steam at the Swanage Railway's Spring Steam Gala.

The Swanage Railway home will be running passenger and freight trains giving visitors the opportunity to ride behind as many of the engines as possible today, tomorrow and Sunday.

The Wessex Belle 'Bistro' Dining Train will be open on both Friday and Saturday evenings.

The award winning Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum, next to Norden station, will be open 11am to 5pm during the Gala. Admission is free.

*WEYMOUTH Choral Society's Easter Concert will be held tomorrow (24) at 7.30pm in St Paul's Church in Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth.

The Society will present a performance of Stainer's renowned work The Crucifixion: a Meditation on the Sacred Passion of the Holy Redeemer.

*RIOTOUSLY funny show Gloriator will be performed at Powerstock Hut near Bridport tonight (23) and West Stafford Village Hall on Sunday.

The show, brought to rural Dorset by Spitz and Co and Artsreach, reveals just what happens when a glamorous French actress and her hapless assistant stage their version of Hollywood blockbuster Gladiator.
