There's a jam-packed weekend of shows and events for nature lovers ahead. Here's our Guide to the best local goings on.

*THERE'S still a chance to cut Footloose with WOW youth theatre's production of the musical, which continues at Weymouth Pavilion tonight and tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Footloose features other classic 80s hits including Holding Out for a Hero and Let’s Hear It for the Boy. There will also be some quieter moments with ballads, such as the romantic duet Almost Paradise, which give Footloose an eclectic blend of music, dance and romance.

Evening performances are at 7.30pm. There are ticket concessions for the Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Call the box office for tickets and more information.

*PHIL Beer and Steve Knightley of Show of Hands fame will play a concert in Dorchester tonight.

The pair will welcome special guest Geoff Lakeman for their Corn Exchange gig, which begins at 8pm.

Dovetailing old songs with new, this is an unmissable celebration of the duo's enduring impact on roots, acoustic and folk music.

*A THRILLING day for shark lovers will be held at the Fine Foundation Wild Seas Centre at Kimmeridge tomorrow between 11am and 3pm.

Experts from local organisation SharkStuff will e giving a presentation on sharks and there will also be the rare opportunity to witness a live demonstration dissection of a dead shark for a close up view of the anatomy of these highly evolved animals.Then it's out on the shore for a beach clean to remove some of the most deadly types of litter that sharks face in the ocean, and a hunt for the egg cases of sharks and rays. Moments of pure joy from the classic sitcom Dad's Army can be experienced on the stage tomorrow evening and Sunday when Dad's Army Radio Hour tours to the Corn Exchange in Dorchester. The show features two actors, 25 characters and some of the greatest comedy scripts of all time. Contact Dorchester Arts for tickets and more information.

*NURTURE nature and welcome wildlife at Radipole Gardens in Weymouth tomorrow (14) from 11am to 3pm.

This Friends of Radipole Parks and Gardens event will include something of interest for all ages - come along and meet many of the experts in their field and those volunteers who care for local wildlife such as Hayley from Hayley's Hedgehog Rescue.

Some of the groups attending include the Dorset Mammal Group, Dorset Butterfly Conservation, Dorset Dragonflies and the Dorset Field Officer for amphibians and reptiles.

*VEGANS can head to Bridport tomorrow (14) for a Vegan Market at Bridport Youth and Community Centre in Gundry Lane.

It will be held between 10am and 2.30pm and will feature delicious hot and cold food, makeup and skincare, crafts, ethical clothing, information and advice. Entry is free.

*IF you venture to Shaftesbury on Sunday you'll be able to enjoy a monthly artisan market on top of the famous Gold Hill.

Shaftesbury Cobbles Market features produce, arts, crafts, outdoor and gardening good, vintage & recycled, street food, continental fayre and much much more. It takes place between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

*A SPRING Charity Plant Fair will be held on Sunday at Mapperton House and Gardens between 10am and 4pm

This is a must for keen gardeners, with more than 25 stalls from specialist nurseries in the south and west of England will offer a huge choice of plants.

The Alzheimer's Society has been chosen to benefit from shared proceeds. Entry is £3 for adults and free for children and extra for the house and gardens.
