DUE to popular demand four musicians are back with one very special concert.

One Night...Four Musicians comes to the Old Town Hall in Weymouth on Saturday, June 30.

The concert has been organised after a sell-out gig in Portesham Village Hall last month.

Dorset-based musicians Robbie McIntosh, Ken Watkins, Simon Swarbrick and Lucy Watkins will come together for a one-night performance of acoustic music from the genres of folk, country, blues, and jazz.

Robbie is known as ‘the guitarist’s guitarist’ and has legendary status among his fellow musicians. His career to date has included spells as guitarist for Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Tom Jones, John Mayer, and Norah Jones.

Well-known in the area for many years, Ken is a singer who always connects with an audience and performs songs with sensitivity, passion and warmth.

Simon is an extraordinary fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist as well as a composer and producer. He has just returned from the official UK tribute tour, celebrating the music of the late folk icon, Dave Swarbrick.

Lucy has sung on albums by Show of Hands and Robbie McIntosh. Her atmospheric bluesy renditions of jazz standards and folk songs never fail to captivate the audience.

This concert is a rare chance to see all four of these excellent musicians, performing together on one stage. The evening is guaranteed to be a joyous combination of warmth, humour, friendship and above all, some extremely fine acoustic music.

CDs will be on sale, including Robbie’s new release Thanks Chet and Oyster Girl by Simon Swarbrick.
