DORSET Sinfonia is holding a summer concert at St Mary's Church in Dorchester at 7.30pm on Saturday July 14.

This concert will be the grandest, most ambitious concert of the year (usually reserved for the spring concert) and will follow the standard program of an overture and concerto in the first half with a full symphony in the second.

This year Dorset Sinfonia has the pleasure of being joined by Walter Brewster, a clarinet player of great renown, who has played under the baton of some of the world's great conductors, including Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Colin Davis and Lorin Maazel.

The program for this concert will consist of First half: The William Tell Overture by Rossini, 1st Clarinet Concerto by Weber and second half 5th Symphony by Beethoven.

Tickets cost 10 for adults and are free for children.

Tickets are available on the door or near the time in advance from the Tourist Information Centre in Dorchester. See dorsetsinfonia.co.uk for more information.
