FROM the Piano Man to the King of Rock.

After five years touring with the Billy Joel Songbook, entertainer Elio Pace is now turning his attention to another of his musical heroes, Elvis Presley.

Whilst the Billy Joel Songbook will continue throughout the autumn, he brings this new show, Elio Pace Presents Elvis Presley, to theatres across the UK in a 15-date tour this July, including the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne next weekend.

Elio has teamed up with multi-talented drummer and percussionist Steve Rushton who has performed with names including Imelda May, Jeff Beck, Phil Spector, Hot Chocolate.

But unlike many other tribute acts, there is no bass, no guitars, just voice, piano and drums.

A tour spokesman described it as a “unique piece of musical theatre which celebrates the music of The King.

“This isn’t a tribute act…no wigs or jumpsuits, it is quite simply, Elvis Presley stripped back and laid bare portrayed by two musical geniuses.”

After a successful, sold out, one-off show last year to commemorate the death of Elvis Presley, Elio decided to embark on a summer tour to meet demand after his show received five-star accolades across the board.

Elio Pace is a British singer, songwriter, pianist and producer who originally hails from Hampshire.

Elio Pace Presents Elvis Presley is at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne on Saturday, July 14 at 7.30pm.
