TURN back the clock and enjoy music from the 70s when The Zoots come to town.

The band will play Bridport Arts Centre on Friday, August 24 at 8pm.

Ahead of their show, the News got the lowdown from the band.

Who are The Zoots?

"We're a band from Wiltshire who have been lucky enough to perform in theatres and festivals all over the world. Jamie on lead vocals, Harriet on percussion and vocals, Tommy on bass, Adam on lead guitar, Ian on drums."

How do we recognise you?

"We came to the Arts Centre with our 60s show! But we do have some ridiculously fun costumes so I don’t think you will recognise us. We do have some surprises up our sleeve some of them are very flashy!"

What is your favourite song from the 70s?

"There is so much to choose from with ABBA, TREX, Mud, David Bowie, Neil Diamond, The Real Thing!

Probably our favourite song from our 70s show is Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen.

What will you be wearing?

"The most fun part of the show is the costumes, they are so over the top and crazy! Platforms, flares, glitter, big hair and big collared shirts. Lots of make up too! We really enjoy it when the audience dress up too!"

If you could time travel what would you bring back from the 70s?

"Flares, Diana Rigg, Dodge Charger (car), the three day week, Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix."

The other question is Tommy the bass player single?

"We do get asked this question quite a lot, at the moment he is and is still looking."
