FIND out what the great outdoors can do for us and what we can do to help.

A wildlife and wellbeing event is being held at Radipole Gardens in Weymouth on Saturday, May 4 from 11am to 3pm.

The event will run alongside live music event Picnic in the Park, which takes place from 11am to 3pm. Activities being offered are free (for adults and children) and will include sessions such as pilates, orienteering and yoga. It's all about using nature and outdoors to enjoy life, meet new people and learn new skills.

There will be a chance to chat to those experts who care for our wildlife and advise us how we can help.

People can take part in free taster sessions of various activities, from pilates to orienteering, cooking healthy meals to simply chilling. They can also seek out advice on how best to make simple lifestyle changes that can have huge benefits to your physical and mental health.

People can join in the singing or participate in an outdoor storytelling session for families from professional storyteller Martin Maudsley, exploring everyday nature and inspired by his book Lost Words (between 11am and 12.30pm.

The day is being delivered by Friends of Radipole Gardens, Natural Choices, LiveWell, Stepping into Nature, Weymouth Town Council, Dorset Council, and Active Ageing .
