Fun for the family as Musical Storytime comes to Portland


PERFECT family fun is on the agenda when Musical Storytime comes to Portland.

Former BBC Play School presenters Rosalind Wilson and Fraser Wilson are coming to the Royal Manor Theatre with this wonderful show, specifically for young children and their families.

Musical Storytime presents two classic tales, Paddington Bear’s First Concert by Michael Bond, with music by Herbert Chappell and The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant, words by Jean de Brunhoff, music by Francis Poulenc.

Former BBC Play School presenters Rosalind and Fraser use a range of soft toys, props and their considerable acting skills to illustrate the stories, with piano accompaniment by Stephen Binnington.

This engaging and enchanting show is suitable for children aged between five and 10 – and adults to.

A spokesman for the show said: “We have enormous fun presenting our Musical Storytime shows and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

“The traditional, unique and imaginative presentations prove to be such a potent, appealing and excellent way of communicating with children– an entertaining way to stretch the imagination.”

Performance time is approximately 65 minutes. Refreshments will be available. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Musical Storytime will be performed at the Royal Manor Theatre, Fortuneswell, Portland on Saturday, April 17, at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £4 for children.
