Dorchester’S free youth festival, Anonymous, will be back with a bang this August.
Organisers from Dorchester Youth Extra (DYE), the youth Forum for Dorchester, are delighted to announce they will be continuing to build on the last three festivals and support local talent.
The festival is on August 25 and organisers are sending a call out for local performers and bands to get in touch about playing at the event. As in recent years there will be two stages, giving acoustic singers as well as larger bands a chance to perform.
Festival Music Co-ordinator, Keith Hatch said: “Over recent years, a number of the young bands who have played Anonymous have become well known on the music scene, both locally and nationally.
“Bands like Thomas and The Mock Ups, Papa Le Gal, Not Made in China, Kill The Conversation and more. We hope this year will be no different.
“Performers have already been approaching us, and we are starting to confirm slots, but we want to offer an opportunity to as many young local bands as possible, so please get in touch.”
The Anonymous Festival highlights the rich vein of talent in the area in all the arts.
