WEYMOUTH Art Group is holding its annual exhibition at Weymouth Library, Great George Street, during opening hours from today until July 7.

There will be a wide range of mixed media artworks on show, demonstrating the skills and inspiration of club members.

Weymouth Art Group, which has around 50 regular members, meets every Tuesday from 9.30am until noon at Southill Community Centre in Weymouth.

Meetings include a full programme with models and demonstrations and the terms run from September to December and January to May. The club also meets in June and July, but these meetings are not programmed.

Group spokesman Linda Legg said: “We are a very friendly group of beginners and experienced artists who work in a wide variety of styles and mediums, who are keen to pass on tips and advice to each other. In fact sometimes there is more chatting than painting going on, especially during coffee break!

“Our exhibitions have always been very well attended, with many visitors travelling a fair distance to see what wonders we have produced. Entrance is free and you are welcome to browse or buy.”
