In recent year I have heard many complimentary remarks about Dorset County Hospital. Now, having just undergone a spell as a patient, I am pleased to say that the accolades were more than justified.
Therefore, I would like to extend my thanks, through the columns of the Dorset Echo, to all concerned.
I was initially admitted to the Prince of Wales ward before being transferred to the Abbotsbury ward. In both, the treatment was of the same high standard.
The attention I received was absolutely brilliant in every respect, both in terms of professionalism, medical expertise and compassion. I am extremely grateful, as is my wife who was reassured and treated with the utmost kindness, courtesy and understanding throughout my stay.
A word of appreciation, too, must go to the often unsung ancillary staff, in particular the caterers who served up some delicious food.
All in all, a tremendous caring team effort at a time of potentially considerable stress for me was a great credit to all concerned… just what the doctor ordered. Take a bow Dorset County Hospital.
