In something like 100,000 years’ time the human race will surely have evolved into a non-speaking tribe.
That’s the way we are heading for sure, as more and more people are being encouraged to communicate silently with each other through the medium of computers, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and all kinds of electronic applications.
Many people are already starting to lose the art and habit of actually speaking to another person.
Biggest culprits leading us down this slippery path are the major companies and institutions which direct phone callers to go to their incomprehensible websites as they try to avoid having to speak to anyone.
One drawback in the year 10,2014 will be that there will no longer be any angry shouting at the computer or TV screen. For we shall be voiceless.
