May I through your letters page thank all the people who were involved when my black and tan cockerspaniel ran away on Wednesday, November 13 at approx 5pm while she was being walked along the beach at Overcombe.

If it hadn’t been for the amazing reflexes of the drivers on both sides of the Preston Beach Road, when she decided to dash across, I wouldn’t be lucky enough to be writing this.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks. Also another huge thank you to the wonderful couple who managed to then catch her and reunite us.
