AS one of the residents of Burton Bradstock, and I'm sure I speak for many people living in the area east of Bridport, I have to voice my frustration, caused by thoughtless, cheapskate, deep-pocketed short-armed drivers who park along Station Road.

Station Road, for those not familiar, is the narrow lane running between Marsh Barn junction and East Cliff, in West Bay.

Every weekend during the summer months, especially Bank Holidays and when an event is being hosted in the Bay, this road is chock-a-block with parked vehicles squeezed half on the grass verge and half on the road.

This causes absolute mayhem for other drivers and of course the X53 double decker bus and the open top Jurassic tour bus.

Let's face it, Parking fees in and around West Bay are a couple of pounds for all day – hardly going to break the bank, is it?.

Come on, Dorset County Council highways department, for the sake of a drop of paint and a couple of signs (parking restrictions between May and Sept) let's keep the traffic moving and the tempers soothing. Rant over.
