I would like to comment on Andrew Harris’s letter (Your Say, March 9).
As your readers will no doubt understand, the recent roadworks on Portland Beach Road have had a huge impact on local traffic and most notably the bus services we run across the area.
As well as the obvious impact on our route to Portland, it is had a knock on effect on our Dorchester route, we link a number of journeys together to allow Portland residents a simple link to Dorchester.
We have been adding in extra buses where we can, however with traffic delays of up to 40 minutes, it has been far from easy.
The good news is that we hear that the roadworks will be finishing in the next couple of weeks in time for the start of our summer timetable on March 25 2018.
