As British citizens we can all be proud of Professor Stephen Hawking’s achievements.
Great man, great mind.
Despite his condition suffered since the age of 21, Stephen Hawking’s thinking revolutionised our grasp of the universe and its black holes.
Anyone who read any of his work could not fail to be inspired and excited by his ideas. His theories give you a sense of scale of how insignificant we are in relation to total creation. Our understanding of the universe has been transformed forever.
Interestingly, Stephen Hawking was a passionate advocate of remaining in the European Union, citing Brexit as a backward step, for our culture, togetherness and economy.
Would that we all shared his progressive vision of what could be for the future of humanity.
