The recent items in the Echo regarding road signs on the new relief road have been very interesting.

Some direct traffic the wrong way to Weymouth and some do not mention Weymouth at all.

The worst are the signs that do not welcome our town’s twinning partners – what an insult.

What will their representatives think when they visit? How difficult would it have been for Dorset County Council to include this extra wording on the signs?

My opinion of Dorset County Council is that if something does not concern the county town, it does not matter.

Perhaps they should change their name to Dorset County Town Council.
