I regularly travel on National Express coaches whom for many years collected and returned passengers to the K7 stand opposite the King’s Statue.

It was a convenient point for either end of town and also for the Tourist Information Office that was situated at this point for many years.

Following the recent highway improvements the collection and drop-off point was moved to an area opposite the Fairhaven Hotel a good walk from the King’s Statue with little cover in inclement weather.

Now the collection and drop-off point has been moved to the Pavilion, totally out of the way and a marathon walk for most people staying in central Weymouth it has one thing going for it, the Tourist Information Office is situated in the Pavilion needless to say not many people know of it or bother to go there.

I consider this mindless planning by people who have no regard for problems this has caused? In wet and windy weather you would be soaked to the skin by the time you walked along the front to the Pavilion where there is no under cover shelter in which to stand.

Please return the collection and drop-off point to where they should be, close to the King’s Statue, I would also say the same about the Tourist Information Office return it to its rightful place.

I hope I am not wasting my time in writing this letter and suggest you consult the general public who use National Express on their views of the situation?
